Breadwinner puts you in the shoes of professionals in various careers, juggling a job, limited resources, and tough choices. What will you buy? Can you pay all your bills on a budget? The game is fun, but the issues it tackles are real. Breadwinner is designed to boost financial literacy and raise awareness about personal finances and decision-making, all in about 15 minutes of gameplay. “This is a serious game with a playful edge,” says Faye Griffiths-Smith of UConn Extension. “We wanted to create a game that teens and young adults would enjoy playing while also learning important life skills.”
