What is your area of interest and how did you get interested in it?
My academic interests are in public health, particularly as it intersects with community education and psychology.
What is your role with UConn Extension?
I am working as a Program Assistant for the Hartford County 4-H program.
What excites you the most about working with UConn Extension?
I’m excited for the opportunity to work with and educate young people here in Connecticut. I’m a big advocate of hands-on learning, so being able to present students with learning experiences that are outside of what you might see in a traditional classroom feels very rewarding.
What is one thing you hope people will learn from you and your work?
I hope students learn more about how to learn and where to seek out knowledge.
What is your favorite thing to do in Connecticut?
I like CT’s food truck festivals, as well as our fall-themed events.
What is the most unusual job you’ve had?
I used to be a baby photographer! I took photos of newborn babies, birthday cake smash photos, and even maternity shoots.
What are some of your hobbies and other interests?
I enjoy reading, writing, listening to and playing music, as well as shopping!
