Tips for an unstuffed Thanksgiving:

  1. Eat breakfast and a light lunch if you are eating later, to ward off uncontrolled hunger.
  2. Have a plan. If you have been working on improving your eating habits, think of your meal just like any other. Use a small plate and take small portions.
  3. Be mindful of what you are eating.
  4. Eat slowly and enjoy your food.
  5. Take a walk after dinner to help with extra calories.
  6. Skip the gravy and butter those extras can add as much as 400 calories.
